A podiatrist is a specialised healthcare professional who deals with the diagnosis, treatment and management of foot conditions. Foot problems such as heel pain or arch pain can prevent you from carrying out your daily activities effectively and efficiently. Foot conditions related to chronic medical conditions, such as diabetic foot ulcers and foot wounds, may also lead to serious complications. Our team of podiatrists, working together with doctors and nurses, can help you get back on your feet by assessing your foot condition and providing appropriate treatment for you. We will also give foot care / footwear advice to help you manage your condition. Insoles may sometimes be prescribed for your foot problem if it is assessed to be necessary.

All new patients and patients who have not visited a NHGP podiatrist for more than a year will require a NHGP doctor’s referral.
Patients will first be examined by a doctor to diagnose the foot condition and ensure that there are no further medical conditions causing the problem. After the doctor’s examination and referral, the podiatrist will do a detailed foot assessment to provide appropriate interventions and education for the foot condition.

Please be on time so that you do not miss your appointment slot. Please wear appropriate clothing (eg. sports/gym attire with sports shoes).
You may be rescheduled for another appointment on another day if you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment. We seek your understanding in this as we need sufficient time to assess and treat your foot problems properly.
If you are below 21 years old, you must be accompanied by your parent/ guardian (Exception: National Servicemen or married females).
