Foot problems are common causes of chronic disabilities in patients with diabetes. Early identification and intervention of those at risk will prevent complications and reduce the number of amputations. Our nurses are specially trained to:
screen and identify foot problems of patients with diabetes
perform diabetic foot screening, measurement of ankle-brachial index and toe pressure
provide education on proper foot care and good glycaemic control
refer patients who are at risk to our podiatrist/doctor for early intervention
