DAD is a one-time $8 appointment booking deposit for Dental Service. It is not chargeable to company account or MCPS (third-party payer) but is waived for patients on the Public Assistance or Medicare Assistance Scheme.

DAD serves to promote patients’ responsibility in keeping to their scheduled appointment, and to cancel or re-schedule at least 3 working days prior of their appointment date so as to free up limited dental appointment resource for others who need this service.

The fee of $8 will be collected at the dental clinic when you make an appointment for your dental treatment.

No. As long as you have a dental appointment deposit with us, it allows you to make subsequent appointment.

No, for DAD collected before 11 November 2020. There is no validity period but you are encouraged to claim your deposit if you do not have a follow-up appointment or do not plan to schedule a dental appointment at any NHG Polyclinic.

Yes, for DAD collected on and after 11 November 2020. There is a validity period of 24 months. DAD will be auto-forfeited if no dental appointment is made within 24 months from the last dental visit at any NHG Polyclinic.

NHGP will not hold any dental deposit for more than 2 years. You are encouraged to seek a refund if you decide to discontinue your dental care at any NHG Polyclinic. Your DAD will be auto-forfeited after 24 months from your last visit date if you have no future dental appointment.

You may request a cash refund at any NHGP Dental clinic. Alternatively, you can email the following details with a subject title “DAD Refund” to refund@nhgp.com.sg for GIRO refund:

1. Patient's Full Name as per NRIC

2. Patient's NRIC Number

3. Contact Number

4. Payee's Name

5. Bank Name

6. Bank Account Number

Note: Please ensure completeness of the information to avoid any delay.

It takes about a month to process.

1. Rescheduling/cancellation is done in less than 3 working days,

2. No show or

3. Late for more than 15 minutes.

Additionally, DAD collected on or from 11 November 2020 with be auto-forfeited if no appointment is made within 24 months from the last dental visit at any NHG Polyclinic.

Yes. You can cancel / re-schedule it in advance (i.e. at least 3 working days ahead).

If you would like to claim your dental appointment deposit fee, you can do so by visiting any NHGP Dental Clinic for cash refund or email your bank name, account no. & payee name with a subject title “DAD Refund” to refund@nhgp.com.sg for GIRO refund.

For DAD collected on or from 11 November 2020, if you do not claim your dental appointment deposit fee, it will be auto-forfeited if no dental appointment is made within 24 months from your last dental visit at any NHG Polyclinic.

Dental appointment deposit will be forfeited if you fail to turn up for your appointment or late for more than 15 minutes or cancel your appointment less than 3 working days in advance.

For example:

• I have an appointment on 08 Apr 2021, if I cancel my appointment on 06 Apr 2021, will my DAD be forfeited?

D​ental deposit will be forfeited when you cancel your appointment less than 3 working days in advance.

• And what if I cancel my appointment on 05 Apr 2021?

Dental deposit will not be forfeited as you cancel more than 3 working days in advance. If you have previously paid a deposit on or after 11 November 2020, please check your DAD expiry date. You will have to claim a refund before the expiry date as dental deposit gets automatically forfeited on the expiry date.

You should provide documentation to support your reason for the last minute cancellation on your next visit. We will consider this reinstatement request and update you on the status.

The appointment deposit fee will be waived if you are on the Public Assistance or Medicare Assistance Scheme.
